What drew me to birth work was the deep spiritual sisterhood that exists when one woman supports another through bringing life into the world. There is something incredibly powerful about witnessing the miracle of life unfold in such an intimate and raw way. l've been in the birth world for the past five years as a doula and have recently stepped into the role of birth assistant. I believe that birth is far more intuitive than we're often led to believe-when we trust our bodies and allow physiological birth to unfold, there is no need to rush or force the process. Birth deserves time, space, and trust.
I live in the Beechmont area of South Louisville with my husband, Will, who supports me wholeheartedly in this work (we don't have kids of our own just yet).
When I'm not attending births, you can usually find me curled up with a good book or out on the trails camping and recharging in nature. My go-to coffee order is a half-sweet vanilla latte from Sunergos Coffee-hands down my favorite spot in the city. I love slow mornings, cozy evenings, and any season that gives me an excuse to be outside. I have always been interested in physiological childbirth, even from a young age. I chose home birth when I became pregnant with my first, and had a long and challenging 40+ hour labor. It was incredible and empowering, and sparked a desire to support other women in their own transformative experiences. I wholeheartedly believe in centering the desires of the woman giving birth. That led me to train as a doula first, then as a home birth assistant. I have gone on to have two more home births, and can say firsthand: there is truly nothing that compares to women supporting women, to being surrounded by those who believe in you and your body’s ability to birth your baby.
When I’m not supporting women as a doula or home birth assistant, you will probably find me hanging with my husband and my kiddos, cooking or baking sourdough bread, reading a good book, attempting to learn piano, or trying to catch up on laundry.
I'm so excited to meet you and your family!

Over a decade ago I had the privilege of being present for the birth of my best friend’s daughter, and I can still remember the overwhelming sense of awe and wonder I felt at witnessing the strength of women and the delight of welcoming a new baby earthside. That experience deeply shaped me, and since then I have felt incredibly honored to share in that same joy at every birth I’ve attended—as a mother, friend, doula, or birth assistant. I believe that birth is a beautiful and sacred transition. I feel strongly that every woman deserves to give birth in an environment that supports her autonomy, helps build trust in her body, and empowers her to make confident decisions as she moves through labor and into motherhood.
Outside of birth work, I live a full life with my four kids, and enjoy thrifting, reading, and caring for an ever-growing number of house plants. I’m currently in my concert-era and love traveling and exploring new places with my husband. In addition to birth assisting, I serve as the billing coordinator for Kindred Spirit Midwifery and absolutely adore the organization and administration of behind-the-scenes birth work. I’m so deeply honored to be a part of KSM and to have even a small part in your birth story too.
I found birthwork through the birth of my second child, which was empowering and life-changing. After attending nearly ninety births as a doula and birth assistant, I began my midwifery studies in early 2026. I believe in the power of birth to transform and strengthen women, their families, and their communities.
I love any banana-flavored coffee or walk in nature. Although I one day want to put down roots in Louisville, I currently live in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, where I can be found homeschooling my kids, baking, and learning about herbs. If I get to attend your birth, know that I am honored and eager to meet you and your family!
